For making it easy for me not to buy the new PSP. No extra colours or TV cables. Great, thanks guys! NOt sure what to do with the extra £200 I'd have spent on PSP and games.
And ... where's Gran Turismo again? ...
From a friend of a friend ...
I have realised today that I wish I was a footballer for the following reason:
Yakubu
- bored of playing for Boro
- starts to play really badly and not try
- gets dropped from team
- still gets paid squillions of pounds for doing nowt
- secures big-money move to new club
- continues to get paid squillions of pounds
Me
- bored of job
- starts to do stuff really badly and not try
- gets fired
Whoever this chap is he makes a compelling argument. Imagine what you could do with squillions of pounds - I only hope this Yakubu fella has the imagination to do something fun with his time off.
I don't know anything more about football ... here's a picture of Jason Lee. He has a Pineapple on his head ...
This weekend I finished Bioshock. It's not the reason I haven't been blogging recently although I have to say that in the last week it's certainly one of the reasons. Bioshock has been, and is again as I am playing it through again, one of the most complete games experiences I've ever had. It's a gorgeously consistent world which wraps around a story where I not only sought out all the extra story material I could find to make the experience as complete as possible but felt invested in the characters and shocked when the story took unexpected turns.
It is also one of the few Xbox games I have wanted to play through after I've finished it to get all the achievements. I'm hoping to get a ton more before I get bored and move onto something else, I'm nearly at 700 which is just about a record for me and points from 360 games.
If you have access to a PC or 360 at the least treat yourself to the demo. It's nearly a 2gig download on the PC but it's absolutely worth it, I promise :)
It is wrong to love a game this much especially when it's such a simple game on such a very expensive piece of hardware but love it I do. If the game weren't so addictive I'd have more time to worry about the fact that the best game on the system was a £5 download from a very empty PSN store.
I lost about 2 hours to this yesterday and still didn't beat the level I was stuck on. I also don't be able to get above 5.8 million points but see people up into the 13 million mark. I wonder what I'm doing wrong ...
So finally after months of secrecy and admitting just the other week that Stickers were coming they're finally here! Check out www.moo.com to see how you can go about making some of the 'lil darlin's! (Also, see those fine hands and lovely clean socks there? That's me that is ;) Fame at last!)
We're really pleased with them and the tech and design teams have worked super hard to create a remarkable wee book of 90 stickers. Just like minicards each one can be a different image or illustration and you can make the images by either uploading direct or pulling your Vox images from your profile!
Also, if you're London based, we're having a party tonight to celebrate the launch. Check out Upcoming for the details. Bring your friends, bring your minicards, and help us welcome the newest member of the moo family into the world.
Yay for Awesome Sticker books!
Damn! For a second there I was entertaining the notion that there would be a load of BlackBerry users on Vox and we could all talk about .. well ... stuff to do with BlackBerry phones. Sadly it was not to be. Maybe I could start a group and people would flock ... :)
Since it's arrival in my living room my PS3 has not performed well online. I have failed to get online and play once. However, the arrival of the 1.8.1 update and 1.2 update to Motorstorm at least shows promise in this murkiest and most confusing of areas of gaming. While I've still not managed to play a game I can at least see Lobby areas and other gamers. I'm hopeful :)
It's weird because in reality I'm not a huge online gamer but I would like to have the opportunity at least.
